BAD MAN

Today I am feeling bad. Too bad! coz from last night a thought inside me killing me- that is " i am a BAD man "

Oh u guyz do u know how does it feel when ur conscious, sub-conscious everymind tells u repeatedly that u r a BAD MAN ! I am feeling that pangs of agony !!

My uncle is seriously ill; doctor gave a test for lung-cancer. Since then I was thinking bad, I was thinking that 'he got cancer for sure, what will happen next?' 'what would be the treatment ?' 'what would be my purpose ?' 'what can i do to him?' blah blah .. but I never thought once in my mind that 'na' he wont have cancer .. anyway the test result is NIL. He got no cancer; but BAD me thought ill of him having cancer.. !

Tonight I was doing the task of my job. But I cant finish it; lots of errors are arising; lots.. Now the BAD me turned on- now I was thinking "why my office building dont crash tonight ! Then at morning I will see the building crashed! I dont have to submit the task But 'what would i do then?' 'what would I do if i see my colleagues and office stuffs are injured ?' 'would I enjoy helping them or would I feel better than that when I would fail to submitmy assignment?' BAD in me supporting me to the first option. uff .. :(

I never get call for interview. After all 6 months of graduation I only got call from 3 places- 1 i am working at; other one rejected me.. and the last one is pending- didn`t decide yet whether i will join or not. My parents everyday ask me why dont I get any good opportunity? If others get then why dont I ? Then BAD in me arise- hit my head with a hammer and it tells me loudly u r BAD. U did so BAD things, u think ILL - u will never be in good position :(

I cant locate what BAD i did in my life :( But the feelings is killing me day by day .. its driving me mad- I feel BAD very BAD.

My title picture shows the good in me! yeah I sometimes dreams of the man in picture ! When I enjoy the picture then the BAD in me again jump out -tells me over and over " U did bad to someone, U couldn`t .. U couldn`t .. u cant think of urself in this position.. U r not suitable for this.. U r BAD "

There is none in my home today.. and Uff. these random thoughts were killing me ! then the plan was that- I will write down .. now the result is- I bored u guys, and thats making me feel more BAd. ahh

--------------------------------------------------

No one knows what it's like, to be the BAD man,
To be the sad man, behind blue eyes
No one knows what it's like to be hated,
To be fated, to telling only lies

But my dreams, they aren't as empty,
As my conscience seems to be
I have hours, only lonely
My love is vengeance that's never free

No one knows what it's like to feel these feelings
Like I do, and I blame you
No one bites back as hard on their anger
None of my pain and woe, can show through

When my fist clenches crack it open
Before I use it and lose my cool
When I smile tell me some bad news
Before I laugh and act like a fool

And if I swallow anything evil
Stick your finger down my throat
If I shiver please give me a blanket
Keep me warm let me wear your coat

Annual Total Solar eclipse

Yeah a news on daily news paper caught my eyes that .. today is annual solar eclipse. Hmm i got myself prepared for that ..

What is an eclipse of the Sun? What causes eclipses and why? How often do eclipses happen and when is the next eclipse of the Sun? No these are not the concern of my blog .. :D no worry ...

I heard a lot of myth and rituals on solar eclipse ...

"In ancient China, the solar and lunar eclipses were regarded as heavenly signs that foretell the future of the Emperor; predicting eclipses were of high importance for the state. Over four millenniums ago, two Chinese astrologers were murdered as they failed to predict a solar eclipse.

The ancient Chinese believed that solar eclipses occur when a legendary celestial dragon devours the Sun. They also believed that this dragon attacks the Moon during lunar eclipses. In the Chinese language, the term for eclipse was "chih" which also means "to eat". One ancient Chinese solar eclipse record describes a solar eclipse as "the Sun has been eaten".

It was a tradition in ancient China to bang drums and pots and make loud noise during eclipses to frighten that dragon away. Even more recently, in the nineteenth century, the Chinese navy fired its cannons during a lunar eclipse to scare the dragon that was eating the Moon."

Now what we believed :

Yeah when i was school boy ..my mom said that today is "solar eclipse, dont go outside, the whole day will be darken and never look to the sky directly ".. and my grand mother starve for the whole day . we dont know why ? "

Then at a certain period we learned that on the day of solar eclipse look at the sun through the x-ray film .. or negative film etc.

Today when I saw the news .. I also got prepared to do so ..

But .. this is 5 pm .. the scorcching heat is increasing enormously rather than being dim .. whole day i spent without power supply .. my ips decided itself that it wont give me back up any more .. i became so help less .. so went to the roof to watch the solar eclipse .. but nothign was seen .. why ?? :(

Did u see guyz ??

Modhumita Cinema Hall will be crashed !!

This morning a news headline in JanaKantha caught my eyes ! "Modhumita cinema Hall will be broken down "! Why it caught my eyes ?

I didn`t know the actual history.. Ya do u know that who is the owner of Modhumita ? The English Channel champion "Brojen Das" is the owner of Modhumita. When he made the history in English channel then the Governor in bangladesh was Monayem Khan. He asked Brojen Das for anything .. then Brojen das most surprisingly didn`t demand any money, he just asked for a place. Then Monayem Khan alloted him the place of "Modhumita".

No this is not the end. Then Brojen das fell in a false position - what to do with this place ? He was used to gossip in "Beauty Board" in Pary mohan Das lane - [approximately in the year of 1963]where all the Columnist, writer, poet used to gossip. Then Brojen Das once met Abdul Jabbar khan [director- 'Mukh o Mukhosh']. Abdul Jabar Khan gave him the proposal of making a cinema hall .. then the history begins ..

In the year 1966 Modhumita started its journey with name of "Channel Theater" coz Brojen Das was the channel Champion. The first show was "Cleopetra". This very hall is only one hall in bangladesh which has 70% permission of English movie and 30% Bengali.

Then before leaving this country Brojen das handed over this to his manager Md. Sirajuddin. One of the realtives` of Sirajuddin was 'Modhumita'; so after her name the name was changed.

Anyway right now the grand sons of Sirajuddin are looking after this cinema hall. I know one of them- Mr. Naoshad. But it is true that they want to break down the whole cinema hall.. their plan is to make a Modhumita complex, a small cineplex , etc. etc.

But when I was in Notre dame i had a great good memories of watching movies in modhumita.. (oh those days !! ) "titanic", "terminator-II" , "shonkhnil Karagar"... .... Now my office is also in this building .. I really didn`t notice that I had been so attahced with this cinema hall .. when I saw the news of crashing the building then I realized the truth !! "Me, myself and Modhumita cinema hall"

The Great Nana`s

Yes this is the great Nana`s tea stall in our uni (IUT). This was our habit of having tea in his shop in each and evry afternoon .. This was almost a daily routine .. at 5-6 pm if anyone looked for us (Me,Munna, Tareq, Boro bhai, Faisal, Oleen, Shuvo, Imran, Apu .. ) they didn`t hesitate or think twice for finding us .. it was easy to find us .. We are in Nana`s Tea stall !!

Nana was also been waiting for us all the day long. I saw that sometimes he lied to other customers saying that he has no cigarettes or tea to sell- coz he stored the last few for us only.
I always made fun with him; sometimes scolded him in loud voice- sometimes throws him out from his tiny little shop and I sat there- sometimes I shouted "oi buira! ar koto ? ar koto ? ghore bou thakte .. chi chi.. :D" [p.s. see the girl behind in pic :D]

He was also from my home town "Feni". So he always called me like this "Dipu-batpar nana". Someday when it was rainy may be we missed to go to his Shop. He always took it to mind .. whenever he saw me and us to other shop taking tea he usually got angry ..

ya thats true we made his shop popular .. in our time lots of boys started coming to his shop .. every day he lacked of tea-supply .. he was happy very very happy ...

at the day of my leaving I took tea from his shop. He not only treat me tea; he treat me "Pitha" (cake) made by his wife for us.. and he repeatedly asked me to visit his shop ... Oh ! ya .. we went to Nana`s shop again .. the picture shows the recent visit of us to his shop ... Nana was so much happy

he refused to take money from us for the tea .. (forcely we gave !) He told us heaving a deep sigh of sorrow that "noone comes to his shop like the past time .. coz he replaced the shop lil bit far from the uni gate .. " But he was laughing all the time ..

Poor Nana ! really we miss u .. "buira tor leiga mon pure " :(

Ahare Khaledda ka Lau bibieh

The title of the post is a maldivian(!) sentence. It means "I love u !". May be its not right, coz i just heard it from one of ma friends in my varsity (IUT). From the beginning of today this sentence was hitting in my head over and over. This really made me nostalgic !

When I was in first semester student, then we found that a boy just like Bangladeshi was roaming around our class, I donno why, I thought that guy was from Notre Dame college .. Then I went toward him and just pushing him hard (like the friends always do) said "kire tui na Notre dame e porti ? kon group e jeno ? " means : "u read in notredame? which group bro ? " I asked him in bengali. That boy became shy and told me nothing. Then I pushed him harder and annoying asking repeatedly that why he was not talking to me ? At last the boy uttered, He said (lowering his head lil bit more) : "I am not bangladeshi, I am from MAldieves !" Ohh ..that was really funny ! after that we were really good friend. He told me the sentence "Ahare khaleda ka lau bibieh ! "

One from Palestine named "Hakam" was telling us about his girl friend in bangladesh. He was talking about her; giving her details description. Me and some of ma friends were amazed how he could manage or know all the details of that girl so early?! Anyway he finished the story with the following line : "Oh I am glad that I have a so nice girlfriend whom I pay each week for f**kin" ha ha ha ... ... Hakam was really smart .. but his english was much poor as like as me .. so sometimes he made fun of misexplaining something !

One other from Mauritania.. yes Salem my good friend :) At the very beginning in varsity - Vicky (one of ma friends) asked me to ask Salem "whether he takes shower or not ?" I asked vicky "why should i say so?" vicky said "just ask? I heard he never takes showers!" Then I was amazed and asked salem the question. He replied "ya Once in a year !! " :D Ohh .. that boy made me fool !! I believed that for 1 year and told so many people and one day someone showed me that he takes shower twice in a day !! Salem .. grrr...

These incidents really made me nostalgic today .. the things were much more funny but this is my disability that i could not explain them well :( But i feel really good when I remind those old good days !!

Ahare khaled ka lau bibieh !!

Writely the Web Word Processor

Writely the web word processor. Now u can edit ur word documents in web. All u need is just a browser and nothing else. U can share documents easily, collaborate any user, edit ur documents from anywhere having internet access, store ur documents securely... ...

u can publish ur documents in html form so easily, u can save ur word documents as RTF, DOC, PDF,ODT or HTML format. And the editing in a field like that seems to be a pure desktop base application program.
The signing up here is so much easy. Just give ur email address and wait.. they will let u know when u can sign up..
The documents will backed up automatically very often, so no tension of sudden power failure.

The amazing thing is u can edit ur docs in real time with multiple collaborators and share them instantly. This ios really helpful in preparing research based papaers. But ofcourse u can also control who else can see or edit ur docs online like the flickr.

And right now writely is a part of google
So have fun with writely ... since then chau

Not coming back to Life

ya this was an ordinary day of mine. when I started writing my blogs - i just thought for long that what should I write down? and at that very moment I thought twice am I bound to write something ? The all answers were "NO"

And the result is- I started writing blog.
Ya thats what is happening to my life. May be i wished to do something and the thing finished completely with differnet result. In my entire student life I never completed a simple task of programming on my own and now I earn my livings through programming !

Then sometimes I ask myself "whats goin on actually? is my life drivin me ? or I am driving my life ? " No I never get the perfect answer. Ok everyone can say that is it possible that ur life can drive you ? coz the life style is all created by you not that life created you. Yeah Thats true- but after that ask urself again - is this lifestyle all been created by you only ? The answer is"NO". That means our lifestyle is being created actually by the surroundings not by us. Then what ? That means life is driving me? Then again ans echos "HELL NO ! ". U r always on the driving seat- no one can drive u as u r homo sapien .. who is the best of all the creatures.

Then why cant i change the things as I want !
why cant I change the look of my surroundings ?
why cant I change my life that is sometimes i dont like ?

Everyday I hope for many things. Really I spent somedays thinking thyself "someone" who has the power of changing everything ! I made some plans of mine ! but what happened atlast? I found myself on the same position .. nothing changed .. No nothing ..

Each day I start thinking of leading a new happy never ending joyful life and each day I come back to this real tough boring Life.

I cant figure out ! whts goin on atually in my life ? "is my life driving me or .. .. .. "

Trying to break the circle .. one day I will not come back to this life ..may be that day " I will be staring straight into the shining sun "

Hartal Day

  • By definition:
"Hartal" is a Gujurati word. "Har" means "everything" or "always"; "Tal" or "tala" means "to close". The word "hartal" means a day of mourning or protest, on which all the shops are shut and no-one goes to work or does any shopping
During India’s struggle for independence Gandhi took up the hartal in the form of a one-day general strike and boycott of commercial activity during which people engaged in prayer and fasting. The hartal is still a common form of protest even today - in India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, for example.
We regard hartal as a nonviolent/"truth-forceful" way of tackling the economic causes of war, destruction of the environment and injustice. If we take a break from our everyday consumption and take time for prayer and fasting, we become aware of the part which we ourselves play in the injustice of the economic system.A hartal day of action during which many people refrain from consumption could be a powerful sign in political and economic life.
  • From My point of view
Yeah from our perspective the hartal day is really diferent thing :D
When I was a school boy then the " Hartal Day " was like a "eid day" to us. At the morning all of the boys [all seniors juniors] in our "Para(santinagar)" even the uncles .. all gathered together. If that was a rainy day then the football game was started and if the day was sunny then the cricket was started.

Two teams were formed each time. "The seniors" and "the juniors". Then we started for a big field like - Dhaka Stadium or Eid-gah Field or T&T field. Then we played whole day. We reached those fields on a van. The game continued up to 3 pm. then the seniors` team (they always were loser team :D ) "Treat" the juniors
When no fields were found then we started playing on the road. Ohh those days were really awesome!!!. After all these we all came back to home. My parents always forbade not to play in the sun for long and I was scolded even beaten up by my mother :D ya i enjoyed that also .. my elder sister always cried "that she also wanted to roam and play with us .."
then after noon we again all gathered .. short innings game were played then ....

When we played at our ground near home at afternoon then all the ladies :D gathered together in the veranda or in the roof top. That was also very funny .. coz almost all of us tried to show-off ... suppose after giving a goal .. or after holding a good catch before embracing th fellow mates in game the player first take a look at the ladies to know who is watching him .. ha ha ..yeah That time i was love in with a Apu .. Boby Apu .. :

Those days were really awesome ...Now I dont see any boy of school playing on the grounds in dhaka .. they all just spend the day watching movie..tv..playing cyber games ! Poor ! the mordern age boys .. and girls !!

Now the hartal days are not like the days passed by ..it will obviously be better if the hartal day is vanished .. but I really enjoyed my "Hartal Days" in past ...

What is life ?

"What is life ? " is a very famous and mostly used queston in our life. Almost everyone has faced this question. ya what is life actually ? LIFE could be an acronym for

'Life Is For Everyone' OR
'Living In Full Effect' OR
'Liberty Independence Freedom Equality' OR
'Love Involvement Fellowshio Envangelism'

Na .. neither of the above fulfill the exact definition. Then lets see what the famous Wise people say abou life ?

Buddha Says : "Do not dwell in the past, do not dream for the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment"

Albert Einstein: " If A equals Life Success then Formula is A = X+Y+Z where X is work; Y is play; Z is keep your motuh shut "

John Ruskin says : "There is no wealth but life "

George Bernard Shaw says: " Life doesn`t cease to be funny when people die any more than it ceases to be serious when people laugh "

Did you find the right answer ? Na I didn`t .. I dont think life is so complex as the WISE man thinks.. :D then ?

Then what is life again ? One of my friends Salem always used to say that in sigh of relief that : "Life is Like 50 without wife"

One man named Robert Louis Stevenson said well thing about life : " There is only one difference between a long life and a good dinner: that, in the dinner, the sweets come last."

Then I loved the quote of Mark Twain : " Let us live so that when we come to die even the undertaker will be sorry. "

Bertrand Russell said the strong definition of life :" Life is nothing but a competition to be the criminal rather than the victim"

But at last the thing made me sad is that this life is not everlasting... thats the real fact .. one famous writer said : " Life is like stepping onto a boat which is about to sail out to sea and sink. "

And I think that could be a real definition .. what u say ? :(

Google - Spell Mistake !!

The Internet search engine Google was named after this number. The original founders were going for 'Googol', but ended up with 'Google' due to a spelling mistake. Lawrence E. Page: "Lucas Pereira: 'You idiots, you spelled "Googol" wrong!' But this was good, because google.com was available and googol.com was not. Now most people spell 'Googol' 'Google', so it worked out OK in the end."

  • What is googol:

A googol is the large number 10100, that is, the digit 1 followed by one hundred zeros. The term was coined in 1938 by nine-year-old Milton Sirotta, nephew of American mathematician Edward Kasner. Kasner popularized the concept in his book Mathematics and the Imagination.

A googol is approximately equal to the factorial of 70, and its only prime factors are 2 and 5. In binary it would take up 333 bits.

The googol is of no particular significance in mathematics, nor does it have any practical uses. Kasner created it to illustrate the difference between an unimaginably large number and infinity, and in this role it is sometimes used in teaching mathematics.

  • googolplex: A googolplex is 1 followed by a googol of zeroes, or ten raised to the power of a googol: 10googol = {10}^{{10}^{100}}

The Beef Banquet ! (Ke kare khai ?)

Last night i was in Nazrul Hall of BUET. The 01 batch of buet in Nazrul hall arranged a feast. This is a Tradition of them and its being done for 4 years in BUET.
This really made me nostalgic of my studetnt life in IUT. I am also "01 batch" from IUT. there was no tradition like BUET in IUT. But me and my fellow mates (tareq ! remember ? abedin .. ?) started it. Last year in our last semester we arranged this kind of feast.

The main theme of this kind of feast is: "the rag batch will buy a cow of their own, they will look after that for a couple of days and at last the cow will sacrifice its life[ poor cow !] .. the all students of the varsity, teachers, stuffs will be invited to the "cow eating banquet".

After the eating portion of the program the cultural program starts. This cultural program is really really awesome. All the boys (basically who reside in halls) just show their instant intellects. Last night i saw a boy who can tell or speak a bengali statement in reverse order within a second. and he just sang a full bengali song in reverse order. wow !

At the end .. the grand ! gala ! dance party starts.. all just dances in their own styles .. ohh ! I cant forget that dance party in our time ... "Nanto ghotoker kotha suina .. olpo boysh e korlam bia.. murubbira koilo sobai no tension no chinta .. .."

Those who never joined this kind of party .. I request them to visit IUT or BUET just to enjoy a different touch of cultural program .. but as far as I know this tradition is only going on in the Boys` hostel .. :P

JoiN ~ the eat cow feel cow party ! and find the pleasure of Insanity !!

Al Pacino was arrested

Al Pacino was a hoodlum as a youth.

25 Apr 1940 Al Pacino born, East Harlem, New York City.
7 Jan 1961 Arrested in Rhode Island for carrying a concealed weapon. Pacino, aged 21 and living in New York City, stayed in jail for three days. The three occupants of the car at the time were all wearing black masks and gloves, and had been seen by police circling in their vehicle in a suspicious manner.
14 Mar 1972 Plays Michael Corleone in The Godfather. Paid $40,000 for the role.
21 Sep 1975 Dog Day Afternoon.
9 Dec 1983 Scarface.

Bill Gates was arrested

It was during his time down in New Mexico that Gates was stopped for a traffic infraction. Unfortunately, the complete details of his arrest and mugshot have been lost to time, either intentionally (if you're a conspirator) or simply because who would have thought anyone would give a shit about some geek getting pulled over 20 years ago. Either way, all I have to go by is this snapshot of Gates being hauled in front of the camera, grinning his ass off, perhaps thinking himself above it all or incredulous that things had gotten that far. Gates has changed his story several times on what happened that night, but the most plausible is that he ran a stop light and wasn't carrying his license with him when he was pulled over, requiring a visit down to the station.

tooday i am disappointed

The first time we met time stood still
You left me breathless
Suddenly speechless.
Within the hour we were one
Two total strangers kissing the moonlight.
Oh, you know I'm sorry I had to go
I'm really sorry it had to die
I'm really sorry I made you cry
Cry.
We fell in love between the nights
Of too many lovers and too many teardrops.
And fate won't resist some satin sheets
I was so helpless
Totally ruthless.
Oh, you know I'm sorry I had to go
I'm really sorry you're hurt inside
I'm really sorry I made you cry
Cry, cry.
Love is lifting you up and draggin' you down
Makes you go round and round and round
Time makes a stop then it's all gone
Funny how memories keep lingering on.

i am sorry - happy !
