Writely the web word processor. Now u can edit ur word documents in web. All u need is just a browser and nothing else. U can share documents easily, collaborate any user, edit ur documents from anywhere having internet access, store ur documents securely... ...
u can publish ur documents in html form so easily, u can save ur word documents as RTF, DOC, PDF,ODT or HTML format. And the editing in a field like that seems to be a pure desktop base application program.
The signing up here is so much easy. Just give ur email address and wait.. they will let u know when u can sign up..
The documents will backed up automatically very often, so no tension of sudden power failure.
The amazing thing is u can edit ur docs in real time with multiple collaborators and share them instantly. This ios really helpful in preparing research based papaers. But ofcourse u can also control who else can see or edit ur docs online like the flickr.
And right now writely is a part of google

I was all hyped up when i first found out about writely. But it was short lived as i found out they had already closed registrations. Its been almost a month since i subscribed for the reopenning news. Still eagerly waiting for that mail.
The site sure sounds awesome.. but can't really say anything until try it out myself.. looking forward to playing with it..

oh they closed the registration, well wait till they start to take money for it... that's how internet works nowadays
