Hi Dipu, this is my first post on your blog! Maybe I will give blogging a try for a while, but I am either too lazy or too busy all the time :D. Anyway, just opened up an account on blogspot for myself.
Did you read the Da Vinci Code? Well, when I read it, it was amazing. The twists, the findings and, all the time, the intrigues from the past that keep on haunting Langdon (Hanks) and Neveu (Tautou).
No wonder it's a wonderful story. There have been a lot of talk going on here about it... the religious Christian groups protesting the screening of the movie.
As for me, I did read a lot about Christian legends, and the New and Old testaments, of course. I would say Da Vinci Code gives a bold outlook to some possibilities.
After I finished reading the book, I took some time to think... and figured that it's just plain fantasy, aimed to boggle your mind, rather than prove a point. If Dan Brown was trying to prove a point, I would be disgusted. There's no objective evidence to any of the amazing 'facts/coincidences' coming out of the book, for example Jesus having been married to Mary Magdalene.
Anyway, I am keeping my fingers crossed waiting for the big movie to come out. Hanks is one of my favorites, and probably you know the beautiful Audrey Tautou - the French actress who did 'Amelie' -- a wonderful French movie I would suggest anyone to watch, loaded with fantasy though it is. Two more of my favorite actors are also in it - Alfred Molina (Chocolat) and Jean Reno (The Professional).
I would go on writing about comparative religion, and the historical/archeological facts supporting/denying a lot of issues involved in the real setting of the 'Da Vinci Code'. But I guess it's time to stop, and call it a day.

Anything that has a Tom Hanks tag beside it *has* to be awesome. And when that particular 'something' happens to be the stunning work of the simply brilliant Dan Brown himself, than it has to be spectacular. I've been trackin the stories, news and stuff about this movie for a long while and i must say that it sounds friggin awesome! Really looking forward to seeing the awesome duo Jean Reno and Tom Hanks together for the first time! And also eagerly looking forward to the next book from Dan Brown, titled "King Solemon's Key".

@rizu - yeah Reno is also ma favourite and I am also amazed to see Hanks and Reno together .. and glad to know about the upcoming book o dan brown .. (y)
